For yesterday’s autumn Equinox sun set I toasted with my old artist friend Jacques Coetzer, to the changing season. Sharing some seasonal sentiments from both sides of the globe, we reminisced about how we embrace autumn here in the North and spring there in the Southern hemisphere. While we prepare for the nights drawing in, their days grow longer opening up the evening joys. The Firth saw some geese arriving, while to the Cape wales migrate. Our shops prepare for the change in temperature while our trees pop out new buds or prepare for retirement in an array of colours. All living on one earth, but our spirits are defined by the changing temperatures and weathery moods of our diverse seasons. Rapid changes in climate may jeapordize our seasonal equilibrium, but for now a balanced toast from the Cape Town and Portobello.

And this is what he writes:

For yesterday's autumn Equinox sunset I toasted with my long-time artist friend Claudia Zeiske, to the changing season. Sharing some seasonal sentiments from both sides of the globe, we reminisced about how we embrace spring here in the Southern Hemisphere and autumn there in the North. While they prepare for the nights drawing in, our days grow longer, opening up the evening joys. The Firth saw some geese arriving, while to the Cape wales migrate. On both sides our clothing stores prepare for the change in temperature while our trees pop out new buds or prepare for retirement in an array of colours. All living on one earth, but our spirits are defined by the changing temperatures and weathery moods of our diverse seasons. Rapid changes in climate may jeapordize our seasonal equilibrium, but for now a balanced toast from Cape Town and Portobello.
