meNOpause

What is meNOpause?

meNOpause is a play on words that comes from noticing how stepping back from long-term work is often described as retiring, with its automatic connotations of being tired, slowed down, or no longer active. The reality is often more complex. While it marks a change, it can also open up new energy, curiosity and possibilities, alongside moments of uncertainty and fear.

meNOpause is not about stopping. It is about changing pace, direction and attention — and about what becomes possible when experience, time and energy meet in a different way, alongside doubt as well as excitement.

The meNOpause walks and projects explore this terrain through conversation, movement and shared time with women and men of different ages. In challenging ageist assumptions, these encounters are often stitched into cloth and memory.
